Insider Tracker Markets extension
Market pages (indices, futures, currencies, bonds, stocks, ETFs, funds, sectors and single-stock quote pages) show Yahoo Finance data. Your browser fetches it through this extension.
What it does
- Fetches quotes and intraday charts from Yahoo Finance, using your browser and your own Yahoo session.
- Hands the data to Insider Tracker's market pages on this site only.
- Our server never receives, stores or forwards that data. Insider data (SEC Form 4) keeps coming from our server as before.
Sites it talks to
query1.finance.yahoo.com, query2.finance.yahoo.com, fc.yahoo.com, finance.yahoo.com, and this site.
Install (developer preview)
- Chrome or Edge: open
chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click "Load unpacked" and pick theextension/folder of the repository. - Firefox (desktop): open
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, click "Load Temporary Add-on…" and pickextension/manifest.json. It stays until Firefox restarts. - Firefox for Android: needs the signed add-on from addons.mozilla.org, available once published.
Not available on iPhone/iPad, or in Chrome for Android, which do not support this kind of extension.
If Yahoo asks for consent
In the EU, Yahoo may ask for cookie consent first. Open finance.yahoo.com once in the same browser, accept, then reload the market page.
